Trip, second and last part!
End of the trip (29/12/06 to 03/12/07)So, I managed to post the first part of the trip that friday in Lisbon :-)
Got the train, it was not SO BAD, but bad enough. Got to Madrid, got the car at the parking (fortunately it was the train station parking, not the airport one, otherwise the ETA bombing would have "taken care" of it) and went downtown Madrid to check some stuff I was needing, before going to Carlos' place.
On the way downtown the police stopped me to check documents and alcoholic levels (at 9AM, what kind of alcoholic do they think I am????), after all it was a nice chat with the officers about passport, what means what in my driver's license and about soccer (of course, I'm Brazilian, I'm by definition a soccer fan and a great player hehehehehe).
After walking a while, got to Carlos' and in the afternoon we went to a body treatment place, full of pools, where Olga used to work ... that was really relaxing.
On sunday, NY eve, we went to the hills for some hiking (poorly prepared, since I haven't take my boots) and after that to Diego's to prepare for the New Year, some dinner and drinking ... a lot of drinking. After staying at Diego's for a while we went to a disco, with terrible electronic music, after to another, with the same terrible music (Diego says it was totally different ... hehehehe) at 7:30 Carlos was already in bed at Diego's, me and Olga having some hot chocolate at the corner cafe and Miguel and Diego back to the first disco, till 10 AM hehehehehe they're nuts!!!
Waking up was NOT EASY AT ALL!! A hypoglycemia attack and you can't get out of bed for some hours hehehehe After that driving back to Carlos' and sleeping MORE!
Last day to do something (2th). A visit to Decathlon to by some sport equipment (here in Goe there's no big shop for that) and then to Toledo, to see the nice town Carlos is moving in to his Ph.D.! Wonderful place!!
Back home, packing! All the thousand things we both on the way!! It was a looooong packing to make everything fit (also in the next morning there was some "repacking").
Got the plane back, last time we saw the sun until now ... blah, no comments! Carlos and Olga went with us to the airport, giving the car back had no problems and boarding also!
Getting to Goettingen, only time for a quick shower and getting to Thanners (our favorite bar), since it was wednesday and is the day the Brazilian community gathers there!
The next days was about some work to finish important things, the very nice birthday party I had on saturday with lot's of nice friends that ended around 7 AM in a nice disco here in Goe (the Tangente) which I've never been before!! There was also a sleepy sunday hehehehehe
Vacations were great! Got ten times more tired than before, in the body, and 10 times more relaxed than before, in the mind! As it should be!!
